1. Agreement
In addition to our Terms and Conditions, we have a Privacy Policy. They may be changed from time to time without notice. Your access to and use of Sandamadala.lk and its related services will be governed by these terms and conditions. By accessing and using Sandamadala.lk and its associated services, you acknowledge and agree that you are legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Services
For a nominal fee and a period of 8 weeks (56 days), Sandamadala.lk provides online advertising space and related services, which You may use to advertise personal information and data, either of your own or a consenting third party [“Third Party”], to seek a matching prospective matrimonial partner [“Matrimonial Advertisement,” and to use the related services for such purpose.
The following services are provided offline: publication and distribution throughout Sri Lanka of basic information obtained from your Matrimonial Advertisement (if selected), but without revealing personal identity, in a monthly/bi-weekly Magazine (if selected). This is being done to reach a larger group of potential matrimonial matches for advertisements on the Site that are currently available.
3. Eligibility Criteria
The following are the requirements for accessing and using Sandamadala.lk: You and any third party on whose behalf you may be accessing and using the Site must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Be a legal adult according to the laws and regulations that apply to You (as well as to any Third Party);
- You must be legally capable of marrying under the laws and regulations that apply to you in your jurisdiction (and to any Third Party)
4. Advertising Content
You will be responsible for providing the content of the Matrimonial Advertisement, which will include personal information and data in the form of text and photographs. [“Content”] and which You will upload to Sandamadala.lk to be included on the website. If we believe it is necessary to do so to protect and preserve the integrity and ethical profile of Sandamadala.lk, we may edit or delete any part of the Content at any time, at our sole discretion and without prior notice or notification to You, to do so.
All images uploaded to and made available on Sandamadala.lk are watermarked with the site’s logo. This is done to make it easier to identify the images and to discourage them from being used for purposes other than those for which you, as the advertiser, have given your consent.
5. Conditions Governing Use of the Site
You are only permitted to access and use Sandamadala.lk for the purposes specified in Clause 2 and for no other purposes.
As the provider and uploader of Content for inclusion on the Site, it is your sole responsibility to ensure that such Content complies with all applicable laws and regulations and does not infringe on any third-party contractual rights or privacy or data protection rights, as the case may be.
Your Content will be promptly updated and corrected if any inaccuracies are discovered in the Content you upload or provide, and any changes will be verified and changed by Sandamadala.lk. Sandamadala.lk will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that the Content is accurate.
6. Representations & Warranties
In consideration of your use of Sandamadala.lk, you represent and warrant that: You, as well as any third party on whose behalf you are using the Site, meet the eligibility requirements outlined in item 2 above; You are not prohibited from using the Site, and You will refrain from using the Site in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
Unless otherwise stated, any third party on whose behalf you have uploaded Content has given their consent to your doing so.
You represent and warrant that all personal information and data you submit for inclusion in the Matrimonial Advertisement is true, accurate, current, complete, and legally valid; and
You and any Third Party (if any) on whose behalf you are using the Site are not prohibited by the laws and regulations applicable to each of you or by any contractual third party rights from disclosing, advertising, licensing, and/or publishing your personal information and data on Sandamadala.lk and/or from permitting such information to be disclosed or published in the Magazine unless otherwise prohibited by law or regulation applicable to each of you or by any contractual third party rights.
Unless prohibited by applicable laws and regulations and/or contractual third-party rights, you and any third party on whose behalf You are using the Site are free to consent and authorize Us to collect, process, use, share and or disclose personal information and data to the extent that doing so does not violate any applicable laws and regulations or contractual third-party rights.
7. Confidentiality
Unless you give us prior consent, your personal information, data, and identity (as well as the identity of any third party on whose behalf You access or use Sandmadala.lk) will be kept confidential, except to the extent provided for in these Terms and Conditions and or if we are required to disclose it in order to: comply with the law or any regulations; or to protect and enforce our rights or the rights of others who use Sandmadala.lk.
8. Privacy Policy
It explains how personal information and data are collected, used, and disclosed as well as how other information and data are processed in general. Cookies and other similar technologies are used on the Site.

9. Withdrawal & Cancellation of Matrimonial Advertisement
Advertisers have the option to unpublish their advertisements at any time on their own initiative. The sender of the email can request that all of the content in our databases be removed from our systems by sending an email to the address listed above.
If an advertiser requests a refund prior to the advertisement being published on the website, the advertiser will not be entitled to a refund of the advertising fee. If the review is completed within the time frame specified.
10. Intellectual Property
Sandamadala.lk, as well as its databases, text, photographs, logos, trademarks, and all other intellectual property created and or used in Sandamadala.lk, including without limitation all software, design work, layout, appearance, graphics, and so on, are owned by Us or are licensed to Us and are protected by the Intellectual Property Laws of the Republic of Sri Lanka. Nothing on Sandamadala.lk may be copied, downloaded, reproduced, republished, stored, photographically reproduced, or otherwise exploited without Our express wrote permission. We also reserve the right to terminate this permission at any time.
11. Disclaimer
No responsibility is accepted by us for your use of Sandamadala.lk. You acknowledge and agree that We will not be liable to You for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from or arising out of, or in any way connected with: Errors on Sandamadala.lk or the Content, including, but not limited to, technical and typographical errors; inability to access, or use, or the unavailability of Sandamadala.lk; Your use of Sandamadala.lk or the content; or Your use of any software in.
12. Indemnity
By accessing and using Sandamadala.lk You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Serendib Systems Pty Ltd, its officers, directors, employees and agents from and against all claims or actions by third parties and any losses, expenses, damages and costs including attorney’s fees resulting from any violation by You of these Terms and Conditions including negligent or wrongful conduct by You in accessing and using Sandamadala.lk.
13. Termination / Its Consequences
If you or any Third Party on whose behalf You are using Our Services violate any of these Terms and Conditions, including any representation or warranty contained therein, or any applicable law or regulation, this Agreement will terminate immediately and without notice to you. If you violate any of these Terms and Conditions, or any applicable law or regulation, this Agreement will terminate immediately and without notice to you.
The consequences of termination include our right to terminate your access to and use of Sandamadala.lk at any time and without notice or liability to you, as well as our right to delete your Content from the Site without liability.
14. Amendments to the Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time in our sole and absolute discretion. Following their publication on Sandamadala.lk, the amended Terms and Conditions will become effective immediately. You agree that your continued access and use of the Site following the date of publication will be deemed to constitute your acceptance of the amended Terms and Conditions.
15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
The laws of Sri Lanka shall be applied in the construction and interpretation of these Terms and Conditions. Unless otherwise agreed, the courts of Sri Lanka will have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes arising under or in relation to this Agreement, with the District Court of Colombo serving as the Court of the first instance in all cases.
